Null values are currently more difficult to work with in Labkey SQL than other types of SQL because there is not currently a simple, one line way to compare them to other values.

The suggested improvement would be to add two server specific functions that have the same capability as two relevant postgresql comparison predicates ( see IS DISTINCT FROM and IS NOT DISTINCT FROM in the postgres docs: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/11/functions-comparison.html table 9.2)

For example, is_distinct_from(a,b) and is_not_distinct_from(a,b).
