I am trying to find the T2D extraction tool for the ABI 4800 TOF/TOF. I have a copy of version T2DE_EXE_04-12-2007, but wondered if there was a later version available. I am running windows XP.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi Bill,

I don't know of any updates to that tool. We've been using a branched version of ProteomeCommons's T2Extractor. It's a Java application that connects directly to the instrument's Oracle database. We haven't made any updates to it for a number of years though.

Thanks,
Josh

Hi there,

I got to labkey via the SPC Proteome Center (http://tools.proteomecenter.org/T2DE.php) and it states that the source code is available here. For the life of me I can't figure out how to download it...

The issue I'm having is that we've got dumps from the oracle database which I then re-import to a new database and it's a bit of a hassle setting it up so that it's identical to the original DB (I'm not an oracle expert in any way). So I was hoping to rather just edit the source code so that the settings match those on the new DB.

Has anyone has similar issues? Can someone tell me if there are any new ways of extracting the data?

Thanks for your help,
Dane.

Hi Dane,

I don't have any experience with the specific problem you're facing. We haven't made any further updates to our version of the tool, but you can access the source from the SVN server here:

https://hedgehog.fhcrc.org/tor/stedi/branches/ProteomeCommons/T2Extractor/

Please use "cpas" as both the user name and password.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks,
Josh
