SQL Server Windows Authentication Bob Kinoshita  2019-04-23 11:14

Hello,

I have a Labkey Community 19.1.1 installation running successfully with a remote SQL Server 2016 database using SQL Server Authentication.

The database administrators here much prefer the use of Windows Authentication for such databases. Is this possible?

Thank you.

Hi Bob,

Unfortunately we are not able to support Windows Authentication for Microsoft SQL Server and it would require your SQL Server to be in Mixed Mode with a SQL database user to allow LabKey to connect to it. (See https://www.labkey.org/Documentation/wiki-page.view?name=cpasxml#db for more information).

If your SQL Server is already running and isn't in Mixed Mode, we do have some information on how you can change it:

Regards,

Jon
