Accidently moved Shared Project Will Holtz  2014-01-07 10:01

I'm running Labkey 13.3 on Tomcat 6.0.35, Oracle JVM 1.7.0_45-b18 under Linux.

I managed to move the automatically generated 'Shared' project into the home folder, thus creating a sub-folder (home/Shared). I then started getting a lot of error messages -- see attached log file. I now cannot access this labkey instance, as I get a "500: Unexpected server error" and java stack trace when I try to connect. Tomcat reports Labkey as running.

1) Moving Shared probably shouldn't be allowed
2) Is there anyway for me to undo this?

I can revert to my backup from last night, but unfortunately I did quite a bit of work on my Labkey instance this morning. I'd rather not loose that work.

thanks,

-Will

Yes, moving the Shared folder should not be allowed and will be blocked in the future. Thank you for pointing this issue out to us. To fix your system, we recommend restoring from your database backup. If you had files in the Shared project, they may have been moved depending on your configuration. These files should be moved back manually if they exist.

Good luck!
Greg

Hi Will,

For reference, here's the issue to disallow moving /Shared somewhere else:

Thanks,
