LabKey Sample Study Installation Missing options... diego  2016-02-12 10:53

LabKey 15.3 is correctly running, now wanting to install ImportableDemoStudy.folder.zip, but noticed the instructions to the below tutorial do not match the options to what is available in my LabKey version.

1.) "Confirm that Inherit from Parent Folder is checked" do not seem to find that option anywhere...
2.) "On the New Study page, click Import Study" do not seem to find the "import study" option anywhere...
3.) Thanks in advance! Screenshot attached!

I just updated the tutorial text to make this step clearer. Thanks, Steve

Steveh,

Your updated instructions worked to the point of uploading the "ImportableDemoStudy.zip" of which produces a "Pipeline root not set or does not exist on disk" hence not importing any files... Have attached a screenshot.

Thanks in advance!
Diego

Hi Diego,

Can you try to do the following:

1. Create a new project for your study. You can do this by clicking on that Folder icon on the upper-left of the screen and then clicking on that second folder icon with the plus sign.
2. When you setup the new project, make sure you have it picked as a study
3. The new study project will have an Import Study button in the middle of the screen. Select that option and it'll take you to the import page.
4. Pick your importable study zip file again, clear that checkbox to validate queries and click the button "IMPORT FOLDER FROM LOCAL ZIP ARCHIVE"

Does the same error appear?

Regards,

Jon

Hi Diego,

I think you selected the Collaborate option rather than Study.

Can you take a look at my five screenshots and try creating the study project again?

Regards,

Jon

Jon,

I followed your steps but instead of "import study" there is a "pipeline setup" button. Have attached a screenshot.

Thanks,
Diego

Jon,

Do you think it can be something that can be fixed within a configuration file?

Thanks,
Diego

Hi Diego,

I don't think it's the configuration labkey.xml file. The last time you sent it to me, you had the pipeline section commented out, so unless you enabled it, I don't think that's what is happening here.

When you were going through the setup, did you go into the Pipeline configuration at all?

If not, does the postgres user on the server have enough permissions to create directories on the server? I know that since you're using the package manager version of Tomcat, a lot of places where we've expected certain files to be have ended up being put elsewhere, so I'm questioning on whether some of the permissions to respective directories also might be misconfigured as well for the postgres user that is running LabKey.

Jon

Jon,

Going to install everything on another server but this time will download tomcat from the apache website. Will let you know how it is going by the end of the day.
