This folder provides space for lists that allow guests to insert items. Such lists are necessary for Client API scripts that collect information from site users. Creating a separate folder allows you to grant "Submitter" permissions to site users only here, not in the central study folder that may contain more sensitive information.

Site users do not need to be given a link to the current folder, where they have "Submitter" permissions. Instead, the contents of this folder (e.g., its lists) can be displayed via the Client API without providing any buttons to insert data. Thus, insertion of data by guests can be carefully controlled and granted only through admin-designed forms.
