Multiple Additional Key Columns in a Dataset

Is it possible to create a dataset in a study with 2 or more Additional Key Columns. As I understand in the Edit Definitions mode one can choose only 1 column as a Key Column.

If it is not possible with datasets are there any solutions to this issue?

Hello,

You are correct. With datasets, you can only choose one more column as a 3rd key and no more than that.

If you are in need of having multiple key columns beyond the standard default, some users have had good results by concatenating their data into a whole extra column and used that as their 3rd key value.

For example, if you have three more columns you wanted to use as additional constraints to make 3rd, 4th, and 5th key columns, you could create a new column that would concatenate all three of those columns into one, which would in-effect, produce the same result.

Jon
