Elizabeth, Thanks for the suggestion. However, using pg_dump and psql to dump and restore the database to a different server does not appear to be a simple thing. One is a windows machine, one linux - I don't know if this is a confounding factor. The dump goes fine, but then restore runs into many errors. If the two database have different roles, then that causes problems, and I get hundreds of "invalid command" errors when doing the restore. After trying a few times, my test labkey no longer starts up successfully. I am not keen on using this method to get our production server up and running. Especially since we already have everything in place and copied with the one exception of the requests. |
