A Discussion link appears at the end of wiki pages and provides a quick way to access LabKey's Messaging tools and start a conversation with colleagues about the page.

Click the link to open a menu of options which may include:

• Start new discussion: With author (or higher) permissions, you can create a new message board discussion on this page.
• Start email discussion: Anyone with reader (or higher) permissions may also begin an email discussion directly.
• Email preferences: Control when you receive email notifications about this discussion.

Administrators will also see options for:

• Email admin: Control the default notification behavior for this discussion, which applies to any user who has not set their own overriding preferences.
• Customize: Allows you to customize the discussion board itself.

Once a discussion has been created, the link will read See Discussions with a count of how many messages are included. You will now have additional option of opening and reading or contributing to existing discussions on that page.
