XML Import of Packages

When populating the LabKey Server SND system, XML import can be used to define attributes, packages, and superpackages via packages.xsd (along with columntype information drawn from tableInfo.xsd). The following tables can have data imported via this mechanism:

  • snd.packages
  • snd.superpackages
  • exp.domaindescriptors
  • exp.propertydomain
  • exp.propertydescriptors

To import, select the XML file in the pipeline, click Import Data and select the Packages import option.

Note: package information can be added and updated via XML, but it cannot be deleted. This enables incremental updates using this facility.
