The Panorama QC folder is designed to help labs perform QC of their instruments and reagents over time. Runs are uploaded using the data pipeline or directly from Skyline. Panorama QC folders support reviewing and plotting both proteomics (peptide/protein) and small molecule data.

Copy a Panorama QC Folder

Users can copy a Panorama QC folder to a new location, either on the same server or on a different one, preserving all QC and System Suitability data to demonstrate that the instrumentation was performing well and the experimental data is trustworthy. To make the copy, you can export to an archive and reimport to another server of the same (or higher) version. All the metrics, view settings, and annotations related to Panorama QC folders are included, including but not limited to:

  • Guide sets and exclusions
  • Annotations and QC annotation types
  • Custom metrics and trace metrics, with their configurations and settings
  • Default view settings for QC plots
To copy a Panorama QC folder:
  • Navigate to the folder to copy.
  • Select (Admin) > Folder > Management.
  • Click the Export tab.
  • Confirm that Panorama QC Folder Settings is selected, along with other desired objects to include in the archive.
  • Select the Export to option; the default is "Browser as zip file".
  • Click Export.
Now create a new folder on the destination server.
  • Select (Admin) > Folder > Management.
  • Click the Import tab and import the archive.
